Large flat-screen televisions are great. You can have a whole roomful of people enjoy a movie, and you never have to worry about not being able to read what’s on the screen or not being able to see what’s on the screen. But they have their drawbacks too. One of the biggest complaints about very large flat-screen TVs is that they can seem to take up an entire room; and they can be quite the eyesore. The answer is in a flat-screen TV lift. These lifts will hide your television when you’re not using it, but will drop it down gently and easily when you do want to watch it. But when you’re talking about big TVs, how big is too big? How big of a TV can a TV lift hold?
Flat-screen TV lifts can hold a TV of just about any size. The 60” LCD TV is one of the biggest that’s readily available in stores and most TV lifts can easily hold these. Likewise, the biggest plasma television that’s available commercially is a 63” or a 65”. Again, most plasma TV lifts will be able to handle TVs of this size easily. If you buy a flat-screen TV that is even larger than these sizes, you may be able to have one that’s custom-made for you. And even if you can’t most of the TV lifts that are made for bigger televisions can hold TVs that are larger than the standard bigger sizes. Just make sure you ask the manufacturer!
Nearly all television lifts will tell you how big of a TV it can hold.
