Have you ever noticed that when your wife is really getting on your case, it’s even more frustrating when you realize that she’s right? You know the drill: “Why do you need one of those?”
Or “What do you need more golf clubs for? You haven’t played in 4 years!” Or how about “Why do you want to buy more tools? The last time you tried to fix something we had to pay an extra 300 bucks to have your ‘repairs’ repaired!” You’ll probably face some similar questions if you try to explain to her that you are looking at plasma TV lift cabinets, until you can show her why you need one.
Let me give you a bit of background. I am an electronics junkie. I especially love old stereo equipment, but I’m open to almost anything. I’m always looking through local thrift stores, yard sales, etc. in search of those fun but forgotten gems. I’ve actually scored some pretty cool stuff, all of it at ridiculously low prices. However, the main system we use for music in the house is a single-unit surround sound system with tiny, unobtrusive speakers. Why? Because it looks nicer.
Not my preference, but sometimes we just have to make concessions to satisfy the wife’s aesthetic tastes. But in all honesty, it really does look better. She’s right on that count.
So when your wife starts to complain that your 55” plasma TV looks a little gaudy, it’s okay to acknowledge that she’s right. That way you can show her how much you care about her tastes when you show her what plasma TV lift cabinets could do to improve the appearance of the room. It’s a win-win situation. She gets to keep the room appearance just the way she likes it.
You get to keep your plasma TV, in all its high-definition glory. You look like Mr. Wonderful for showing concern for the room appearance, so you’re knee-deep in brownie points. On top of it all, you have another really cool gadget to play with.
Plasma TV lift cabinets may not be the key to marital bliss, but they sure are a great place to start.
