A TV lift can help preserve valuable space in cramped quarters
If you’re planning, or designing, or even already living in a tiny house, you know just how valuable space can really be. And although many people live in a smaller space so they can experience more of life, many folks still want a TV to keep up on the news or just to watch movies.
Why hide the TV with a TV LIft?
For a smaller house where wall space, floor space and ceiling space is at a premium, using every inch effectively is a big priority when decorating.
The detracting factor of having the flat screen simply mounted on the wall is that the TV dominates the room. The large black rectangle of a flat-panel TV automatically draws the eye, whether it’s on or not. For that reason alone, if you live in a tiny house, it’s great to be able to hide the TV. The focal point of the wall art shouldn’t be a large black rectangle but instead something that delights the eye.
Where to put the TV in a tiny house
In a tiny house, the problem is to find enough space for a flat-panel TV. Even floor and ceiling space is at a premium, or non-existent, so ceiling TV lifts and a hidden lift in the floor aren’t always able to be used. Some of the best options are panel lifts. A mirror, a painting, photo or other artwork can be mounted on a panel so that it flips up or slides over to reveal the TV underneath.
Employing a lift will deliver the best of both worlds—an efficient, well-designed living space where the TV’s always within easy reach when you want to watch it and out of sight when you don’t.
