Most flat screen televisions come with some sort of pedestal stand. While these are (more or less) functional, they’re certainly not the best way to mount a new flat screen. Practically any kind of flat TV wall mount is better than just setting the TV up on its stand.

On the other hand, those who have an appreciation for the finer things in life will enjoy the contemporary luxury of flat screen TV lifts, floor and ceiling lift units, and cabinet-style flat screen TV lifts.
Even if you decide to mount your flatscreen on the wall, there are still several different kinds of flat TV wall mount. You’ll want to make sure any mount you purchase and install is solidly constructed. It simply doesn’t make sense to invest in a quality television and mount it on a cheap, flimsy mounting system.
If you use a wall mount, consider using a swivel or swivel and tilt flat TV wall mount. These will allow you to get a superior view of your set regardless of where you sit.
